Venhuizen

Venhuizen is originally an agrarian village with many classic (Haubarg) farmhouses. In the 15th century it obtained city rights together with its neighbor Hem. Every year during the Pentecost weekend it celebrates “Pinkster Drie”, a large fair with ring jousting, a short-course steeplechase and a large flea market. This day is considered a national holiday in Venhuizen.
