LambertschaagLambertschaag is a small village located right at the Westfriese Omringrijk. The annual pole-sitting contest is the main happening for the entire village and attracts visitors from throughout the region. Its little church was built in 1500 and is one of the oldest churches in the country. It is known as “the little green church” because of the colour of its tower. The clock mechanism dates back to 1588 and the bell is even older, being cast in 1495. It is no longer being used as a church, but after extensive restorations it regularly houses concerts and other cultural activities. |
