HaringhuizenFor centuries Haringhuizen was known as the twin village of the nearby Barsingerhorn. It is built around the beautiful Willibrord Church, which is built on an artificial hill (a ”terp”). The Willibrord Church is often used as "theater church" for cultural events by the community. The village recently acquired national fame with its struggle for an own ZIP code. It finally succeeded in 2006, after sharing a ZIP code with Barsingerhorn for almost 30 years. |
