Grosthuizen

The linear village Grosthuizen is located in the rural area between Scharwoude and Avenhorn. In 2012 the village was connected to Oudendijk through a beautiful hiking and cycle route straight through the polder. This route is called the Buutschooterpad and is an extension of the regional hiking and cycling network. Grosthuizen hosts a beautiful belfry with a bell that was cast in 1664.
