De Weere

De Weere is a typical and picturesque West Frisian linear village. It is situated between the Oosterboekelweg and the Vekenweg. It consists of a number of neighbourhoods with unique historical names such as the ‘Tropweere’, ‘Harderwijk’, the ‘Abbekerkerweere’ and ‘Paradijs’. A cheese farm is renowned for its small, distinctive and very tasteful cheeses.
De Weere is a tightly knit community with vibrant and dynamic associations. Its church is impressive because of its size and its beautiful stained glass windows.
